Flexible connection is used to connect the transformer secondary outlet terminal and the short net bus bar. Short net system will produce vibration during operation, flexible connection has the flexibility to be a good vibration absorber and provides better protection for the transformer secondary outlet terminal. It could be divided as water cooled compensator and copper sheet compensator.
Water cooled compensator is used for the connection between the secondary outlet copper tube of electric arc furnace transformer and short net copper bar of the electric arc furnace.
It can compensate for installation error, thermal expansion and contraction, and vibration caused by electromagnetic force of short net. It can also be used in steelmaking electric arc furnace.
