The steel ingot mold is a large ingot casting equipment necessary for the production of die casting in the steelmaking plant, and it has an important influence on the surface and internal quality of the steel ingot and the cost of the steel ingot. A cast iron model formed by solidification of molten steel. Steel ingot mold life (times) or steel ingot mold consumption (kg/t steel) is a major technical and economic indicator of steelmaking production.

Operating procedures
1. When hanging the pan, four hanging handles must be hung. After turning over the plate, lay it down and hang it back, not standing upright.
2. When placing the mold and the middle injection tube, hang a double rope sleeve, and first drop it to an appropriate height by the side, then stop, and then aim at the tube brick to slowly drop.
3. When placing the riser, the workbench must be set up first, and molds are not allowed to be placed in damp or watery pits.
4. When lifting the mold, pay attention to pedestrians when demolding, and take off the rope after the mold is stable. After the person dodges, he hangs again. When hanging a 4-inch and 6-inch flat mold vertically, the operator should stand on the side of the chess piece's small face.
5. When lifting sticky mold steel ingots, do not hang the big end down.
6. When placing the steel ingot mold in a vertical position, pay attention to the level of the ground and not allow it to be placed diagonally. 4-inch and 6-inch molds are not allowed to stand alone. When placing the molds on the second floor or above, they must be flat and not allowed to lean against them.
7. The work site should be kept tidy and the passageway should be unblocked. The steel ingot mold riser and various materials should be placed in the designated place.
8. The steel ingot of the strap mold is not allowed to hit something.
9. Use compressed air to tighten the joints. Before sucking and blowing the steel ingot mold, observe the surrounding environment, and the air outlet is strictly forbidden to face people.

Use, maintenance and repair
The life of the steel ingot mold is directly related to factors such as material, structure, casting quality, management and use. Establishing a sound and reasonable management system, strengthening the technical management of steel ingot molds, and achieving correct use, reasonable turnover, and timely repair are important ways to increase the life of steel ingot molds and reduce the consumption of ingot molds. The new steel ingot mould should be baked to 80~120ºC before use. The mold column operation should be lifted and placed gently, the rising hole is centered, and high temperature steel is avoided to be poured, and the time from injection to demolding should be shortened as much as possible. After demolding, do not flush with water in the red hot state. When the steel ingot mold is in use, if there are large cracks, ear drops, pits on the inner wall, and ablation nets (cracks), they should be repaired in time. Different repair methods can be used according to the damage. For longitudinal and transverse cracks, thick steel plates are used for riveting, and the gaps are filled with cast iron welding rods; for die ears that are broken, cast iron electrodes are used for layered overlay welding or thick steel plates are used for riveting and welding; the welded steel ingot mold can be Increase the service life by 20 to 30 times. For inner wall defects, a mixed refractory material (such as 30% iron powder, 20% refractory mud, 20% graphite powder, 15% chromite and 15% water glass mixture) can be selected at a mold temperature of 80~120ºC Apply it when it is hot, and use it 4 to 5 times after applying it. Damaged steel ingot molds that cannot be repaired should be discarded in due course.
