The system includes copper bar, flexible connection compensator, water cooled cable, insulated hanging device, electrode holder and conductive copper contact clamp. General speaking, short net system is used to transfer electricity from transformer to electrode.
Bus bar is the main part of the short net system. Short net bus bar could be made by two forms, made with copper bar or copper pipe. However, most of the Chinese short net bus bars are made with copper pipes, because it needs more copper for the copper bars and skin effect happens during current transmission. Technically, it's more reliable to choose short net bus bar made by copper pipes. The advantages are like strong current-carrying capacity, good electrical performance, light weight, money saving, etc. And matches the transformer outlet and conductive parts one by one.
The EAF short net is a large current line of the circuit, generally refers to the hard bus part, divided into copper plate and copper tubes. Since the copper tube is cooled by water, copper can be saved.
